IN THE
COMMISSION PACKAGE?

Select a material and medium which is right for your portrait. I work with both soft coloured pastel and paint - both produce different effects, for example, soft pastel is great for capturing the detail of fluffy/curly coats.

If you would like the commission to use stretched canvas, acrylic paint would be a better option. My style of painting is very impressionistic and loose, whilst the coloured pastel commissions are more detailed.

I ask for good quality, clear photographs, digital preferred but happy to work with hard copies.

 

A good quality photograph, in focus and using natural light will enable me to produce your commission to the highest quality with excellent detail.

 

Although the finished portrait will be  based on the composition of one photograph, the more material I have to help me capture the true character of your pet, the better! 

Your bespoke portrait can reflect the natural, realistic colours of the subject, or you can request to have a more unusual colour palette or impressionistic representation of your pet.

 

An example of unusual colours might be more blue and cooler tones or unnatural colours. Different approaches to the style include a more rough, sketchy finish to the commission  or alternatively a more polished finish. 

Prices are based on the size of the paper and the medium used:

8.3  x 11.7" (A4) coloured pastel/acrylic: £175

11.7 x 16.5" (A3) coloured pastel/acrylic: £295

16.5 x 23.4" (A2) charcoal/pencil: £425​
